José Ignacio Martínez, the deputy mayor for Business and Self-Employment, emphasised the efforts of Automociona and Expoalia in presenting the Salón de la Movilidad del Sur Peninsular, known as Motorsur 2026, scheduled for 20 to 22 November at Ifeca, Jerez. He stated that the event is highly attractive to many cities across Andalusia.
Martínez described Motorsur as a prestigious event that offers the best options and comprehensive services for customers, contributing significantly to economic growth in Jerez. Alongside Carlos Landín and Juan Ángel Duarte, he noted that "Motorsur is key to the positive dynamics in the region, bringing together brands, dealerships, and auxiliary businesses, while also enhancing MICE tourism related to events, congresses, and fairs."
He expressed gratitude to Landín and Duarte for their commitment to Jerez, stating that each edition of Motorsur surpasses the previous one, providing attendees with a comprehensive vehicle purchasing service.
Carlos Landín, director-manager of Expoalia, acknowledged the support from the Jerez government, particularly from Martínez and his team, for their backing of the two major car shows and the caravan show held at Ifeca, as well as their ongoing concern for their projects throughout the year. He attributed much of the event's success to the commercial efforts of participating brands, which have expanded their reach to attract buyers from not only Cádiz but also from provinces like Seville and Málaga.
The event will feature significant discounts on vehicles, with over 1,000 offers in rotation, including approximately 600 vehicles on display at Ifeca. The majority of the inventory will consist of passenger cars, SUVs, and commercial vehicles, with options for thermal, hybrid, and electric engines.
Juan Ángel Duarte, co-organiser of Motorsur, highlighted the event as an especially interesting opportunity for those considering changing their car before the year ends. He explained that the public will find options for a wide range of budgets, from €10,000 to €150,000, along with specialised professionals available to advise on various technologies. "There is a solution for every need," Duarte stated, emphasising that Motorsur is not only for those ready to purchase but also for those looking to compare models, understand differences in engines, or clarify doubts before making a significant investment.
The participation of brands and dealerships will provide a particularly broad representation of the provincial market. In addition to commercial promotions, attendees will be able to see new models, including a new Jeep Avenger and a limited edition Renault Rafale, which will be showcased at the event.
The commercial offerings will also include stands dedicated to the auxiliary industry, as well as products and services related to mechanics, warranties, and insurance. Buyers will have access to financing options directly from dealerships and can request the valuation of their current vehicle for trade-in purposes.
Motorsur will also feature UCA Imperium, a team of over 50 University of Cádiz students who will have their own stand to present an ambitious engineering and competition project. This initiative involves students from various disciplines working on the design and development of a racing motorcycle, aiming to participate in MotoStudent, an international competition where universities worldwide build prototypes similar to those in Moto3.
This edition of Motorsur will embrace its local roots by incorporating a traditional zambomba performance, a type of festive music typical of Jerez, by the Coro de la Hermandad de las Viñas. The performance is scheduled for Saturday, 21 November, during midday, with two sessions of approximately 45 minutes each. The initiative will also include a parade around the venue and the distribution of QR codes among attendees to follow along with the lyrics and join in the carols.
IFeca will open its doors on Friday and Saturday from 11:00 to 20:00 and on Sunday from 11:00 to 18:00. The entrance fee remains at €3 per person per day.
