The Contradicción poetry cycle is set to present a new session on 7 November at 19:00 in Cal Massó, featuring a music-infused recital of Jun Komura's poetry collection Els enyooors. The poet will be accompanied by the electronic sounds of La Francesssa, the stage name of Pere Francès, as he shares verses filled with humour, nostalgia, and engaging readings from his debut book.
This marks the third consecutive year of the Contradicción cycle, organised by the Culture and Linguistic Policy Department of the Reus City Council, with support from the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Catalan Literature Institution. Additionally, the local company Terra Cellars from Borges del Camp will provide wine for attendees of the event.
This recital will be the sixth poetic event in a series that offers a free and stable programme of poetry in Catalan, incorporating interactions with other artistic disciplines, such as music. The artistic direction for this year is under the guidance of Maria Callís. The final performance of the cycle will take place on 28 November, featuring a poetic dialogue between Maria Isern and Chantal Poch.
