Cultural weekend in Torrevieja features comedy, musical and flamenco show

This weekend, Torrevieja is set to host a series of cultural events, including the comedy 'Infieles', the musical 'Tadeo Jones', and the flamenco show 'Flamenco viene del sur', catering to a diverse audience.

Comedy and chaos in 'Infieles'

The agenda kicks off on Saturday, 7 November, at 20:00, with 'Infieles', a comedic adaptation of the renowned British play 'Don't Dress for Dinner'. This classic comedy revolves around Pablo, an editor whose seemingly peaceful married life unravels due to a series of clandestine dates and cross-loans of his apartment, leading to a chaotic situation filled with unexpected lovers, secretive spouses, and a quirky decorator. With a fast-paced narrative, 'Infieles' explores bourgeois hypocrisy and appearances, raising the question: who is really deceiving whom?

Flamenco comes alive

On Sunday, 8 November, at 12:00, the Gardens of the International Auditorium will host 'Flamenco viene del Sur', part of the 'Flamenco & Sal' series. This performance aims to take audiences on a journey through Andalucía's most iconic songs, music, and dances. Directed by La Guitarrería Santa Cruz, the show features guitarist Félix Amador, vocalists Olayo Jiménez and Antonio Heredia, and dancers Ana Berrocal and Mariano Santiago, showcasing the three fundamental pillars of flamenco: guitar, song, and dance. The experience begins at 11:00, with doors opening for tastings included with the ticket price, featuring local wines, oils, and chocolates.

A new adventure with Tadeo Jones

Also on Sunday, 8 November, at 17:00, the Municipal Theatre will present 'Tadeo Jones y la Lámpara Maravillosa', a new family adventure featuring the beloved explorer, produced by OnBeat Producciones. In this story, Tadeo and Sara are now parents to little Olimpia, while Momia struggles with no longer being the centre of attention. During a holiday in London, Sara follows the trail of the magical lamp from 'One Thousand and One Nights', but a wish from Momia triggers a time-travel adventure that takes them from Peru to Greece and the Middle East, even reaching the cave of Ali Baba and the forty thieves. Directed by Naím Thomas, known for his role in the first edition of 'Operación Triunfo', the production promises 90 minutes of fun for both children and adults, filled with adventure, time travel, and humour.

Tickets for this weekend's events can be purchased through the website www.culturatorrevieja.com and at the box office of the Municipal Theatre. Torrevieja thus offers a rich blend of theatre, music, humour, and gastronomy across its main cultural venues.
