The Xunta de Galicia has renewed its collaboration with the Breason festival, taking place in Mondoñedo this Saturday, 7 November. The event is organised by the Xoldra association. During a presentation of the new edition, the territorial delegate of Lugo, Alfonso Villares, was joined by members of the organising team and representatives from the local council.
This live music event will be complemented by a wide range of activities designed for all audiences. The Plaza de la Catedral will serve as the venue for performances, starting at 13:30 with Familia Caamagno, followed by Duendeneta. Evening concerts will begin at 21:00 and feature artists including Mercedes Peón, ünder & Diego Flâneur, Lanas Petunias, and Sedientos de Cumbia.
Additionally, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento will host a magosto and foliada at 18:30, featuring entertainment from Meniñ@s de A Mariña, Los Carricantos, and a magic show by Aris Villarino. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy other complementary activities such as tastings and gastronomic experiences, as well as workshops on screen printing and pottery in the Os Muíños neighbourhood.
Villares explained that the Xunta supports this programming through the Tu Xacobeo 2026 funding initiative, which aims to engage the entire Galician community in promoting activities related to the Camino de Santiago, featuring local protagonists and events spread across the region.
