The cultural delegate for Jerez, Francisco Zurita, recently held a meeting with members of the Fundación Cultura Taurina de Jerez, led by Rafael Valenzuela, to discuss the upcoming poetic and floral tribute to the renowned bullfighter Rafael de Paula.
This initiative, driven by the Fundación Cultura Taurina, is supported by the Municipal School of Bullfighting of Jerez and its Alumni Association. The tribute is set to take place on 7 November at 12:00, next to the monument dedicated to the celebrated bullfighter, located in the Plaza de Toros of Jerez.
The event will honour Rafael de Paula, a distinctive figure in the history of bullfighting, whose artistic personality and unique interpretation of the art form established him as an undeniable reference. Born in Jerez, he brought the name of his city to the forefront of major bullfighting arenas and left an indelible mark on the cultural memory of Jerez.
The tribute is open to the public, with free access for all attendees.
