The Insular Tourism Board of Fuerteventura has launched its institutional agenda at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, engaging in a series of bilateral meetings with tourism companies from various European markets. The board's vice-president and Tourism Councillor, Marlene Figueroa, attended meetings with firms such as Via Sale Hungary, TUI UK, Thalasso nº1 France, Karavel-Promovacances France, and EasyJet UK.
Fuerteventura is participating in the fair under the umbrella of Turismo Islas Canarias, the institutional stand of Promotur Canarias, alongside the tourist municipalities of Antigua, La Oliva, and Pájara, as well as local tourism businesses from the island.
This year, Fuerteventura is approaching the winter 2026/27 season with 442,672 regular flight seats from the UK, the island's primary source market. Councillor Figueroa highlighted that “the WTM allows us to meet with those who programme and sell Fuerteventura in their markets. Discussing winter prospects directly is a way to fine-tune the promotion of the destination.”
She also noted, “We arrive in London with over 442,000 regular flight seats from the UK for this winter, providing a solid foundation for our discussions over the coming days.” The board's agenda at the WTM will continue with new bilateral meetings until the fair concludes on 5 November.
