Iván Martín to perform final concert of the vi ciclo de grandes pianistas ‘salvador román’

On 4 November, the vi ciclo de grandes pianistas ‘salvador román’ will come to a close with a performance by pianist Iván Martín at the Teatro Paseo de la Velada, starting at 20:00. This event is organised by the Sociedad Musical Linense ‘Félix Enríquez’ in collaboration with the municipal delegation of Culture and is sponsored by the Diputación de Cádiz.

During the concert, Martín will present a selection of four of Ludwig van Beethoven's most iconic sonatas. Beethoven is widely regarded as one of the most significant composers in the history of music.

Iván Martín, originally from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, has established himself as one of the brightest musicians of his generation, both in Spain and internationally. He collaborates with nearly all orchestras across Spain, as well as prestigious international ensembles such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra in Milan, and the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.

Martín has also been invited to numerous international festivals and has recorded for radio and television in Spain, France, Italy, Brazil, and the United States. Since the 2018/19 season, he has served as the principal conductor of the Burgos Symphony Orchestra and, since 2022, as the artistic director of the Semana de las Cuerdas in Medellín, Colombia.

The concert will be free for members and students of the Conservatorio de Música Muñoz Molleda who present their membership card. Other attendees can either become members or make a donation to attend.
