The ‘a la tardor, platillos!’ gastronomic route is now underway, having started on 5 November and set to continue until 22 November. This initiative features 31 bars, restaurants, and cocktail bars in l'hospitalet, inviting locals and visitors to explore seasonal flavours.
For just €4.50, customers can enjoy a dish paired with a drink, showcasing a mix of traditional and contemporary cuisine with a focus on autumnal ingredients. The offerings include stews, meatballs, dishes featuring mushrooms, pumpkin recipes, and more innovative creations that utilise locally sourced ingredients.
“This year’s selection is very diverse. We want to highlight local and seasonal produce,” said Cristina Gandoy, head of Tourism for the l'hospitalet City Council.
Gandoy also noted the inclusion of traditional dishes such as meatballs, tripe, and marinated meat with mushrooms. A new feature for this edition is the introduction of the first autumn chef, created by a local establishment. Gandoy believes this initiative helps to establish the dish as a gastronomic emblem of l'hospitalet, celebrating the increasing number of innovative culinary creations.
Participants can vote for their favourite dish. To cast a valid vote, patrons must submit a ballot at participating establishments, having collected stamps from three different venues. Various prizes will be drawn among all participants. Additionally, a professional jury will award recognitions for the tastiest, most creative, and highest-quality dishes, with the winners announced on 3 December.
The 12th edition of ‘a la tardor, platillos!’ marks the conclusion of the city’s annual gastronomic route calendar, which also includes the Primavera de Tapas and events associated with the major festivals of the neighbourhoods.
